How do we protect the confidentiality and security of your information?

We use physical and technical safeguards to protect your information. We restrict access to your information to those who need it to perform their jobs. Third-party business partners are bound by law to use the information only for our purposes. They may not disclose it or use it in any other way. We comply with all data security laws.

Use of "Cookies"

Nationwide stores a cookie on a person's computer when they visit our web site. A cookie is a tiny piece of information that is required to create and maintain a secure session. Cookies let a person request information and do business online. The cookies do not have confidential or personal information. They do not track a user after leaving our web site.

You also play a role in maintaining the security of your information.

Encrypting your data is the best way to ensure your information is secure while using the Internet. uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption to ensure that your information remains confidential. If you share your password with a third party for any reason, including because the third party has promised to provide you additional services such as account aggregation, the third party will have access to your account and your personal information, and you may be responsible for actions taken using your password. Nationwide will not be liable for any access to your personal information for any unwanted changes made to your policy through your MyNationwide account that result from third parties using your Username and password.

    3. If you think your password has been compromised for any reason, you should immediately change your password and contact Nationwide at 1-877-304-1065.
